I've been enjoying my Thanksgiving break way too much. All I've been doing is pretty much sleeping, shopping, and eating. I keep thinking it's Sunday today, so I'm so happy that I get an extra day to wake up after the sun rises. Yes.

My mom and i went out to the mall today to get me a Christmas present. She figured that she would just take me out today and ask what I wanted since she might not have time to take me out any other time. After giving great advice to her coat exchanging needs at macy's, we headed to F21. I picked up a nifty pair of highwaisted capri-ish pants, a military coat, and a Gucci inspired chain bracelet. I wish I had a picture of the pants to show you, but it isn't online yet. Darn it. Just trust me, they're awesome.

I was also pretty excited because my mom finally bought me a bottle of Daisy by Marc Jacobs! I just love the fresh, and soft scent of it.

Well I'm gonna go back to watching reruns on HBO of 27 dresses and Sydney White. Happy Saturday!

Giving Thanks

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I'm definitely thankful for lots of things this year- my friends, my family, everything that is around me. I'm happy to have a roof over my head and for people to care about me. That's what it's all about right? Yes, I know I sound cheesy, but someone's got to say it!
In this outfit, I had to wear two pairs of tights to make it opaque. Argh.. I need sweater tights. I also love the zipper on the side of the sweater. There's only one, and not another one on the other side, so i find it pretty cool.
Well, short post for today. I should probably go downstairs and get the hot pot ready. Yes, I'm having an asian Thanksgiving. Wait, I also have a turkey. Hm, I guess half and half. Best of Both Worlds? Ahh. I hate Hannah Montana.

I hope you guys have a good one.

Hanes sweatshirt, skirt from Target, payless boots, Saks Fifth Ave. scarf, vintage belt, F21 tights, F21 ring and Aldo bag.

Argh. The rain in Massachusetts is really messing up with my outfit posts. I woke up late yesterday and only had 10 minutes to get ready, so my editorial inspiration outfit went down the drain. I was thinking of seeing how to incorporate it tomorrow, but then my friends were nag me if I didn't wear the school's colors for our rally day. Oh well, I guess I'll have to disappoint. Haha.
I really want something with sequins soon. I have this urge for something shiny, but can be demure-d with soft colors. I also need some tartan. I've got lots of holiday shopping to do. Well, for me. More posts soon i swear!
I got this nifty ring at Forever21 today. Surprisingly, it was the only thing I bought all day.
Fun fact: I love dark chocolate. It's just so rich and delicious.

"Rebel Chic"

Today was uneventful; just the norm of a boring day of work at my mom's restaurant. When she finally decided to come back, I got to run over to the Atrium Mall and go to Borders. [The Second Time Around closed already at 6pm. darn it.] Is it dorky of me to love to go to the bookstore? I always obsess over the fashion section and the long row of fashion magazines. Is it so wrong to sit on a leather chair for an hour or two looking at editorials? Not in my world.

I came across the issue of Harper's Bazaar UK and I had to buy it. It was $9 but I didn't regret it at all. Is it bad that I'm starting to love British mags more than US? Anyways, I was in love with the "Rebel Chic" editorial. I'll die for the sequin bolero. What I love the most about it is the fact that it doesn't emphasize accessories, like jewelry. Less is definitely more. No?

My outfit tomorrow will showcase this look, no doubt.

Unleash

Note on last picture: I wish I was a rockstar [haha, not really]

Brr. Today dropped to the 20-30Fs. Everyone asked me if I was cold in my skirt and tights, but I wasn't! The trick is to layer on tights. I'm hoping to get really thick ones for the winter so I can wear them throughout the snowy season.

So here is my lacey strapless dress I was talking about. It was a bit too dressy for school, so I wore it as a top. The quality in the photos are pretty bad and you can't see the texture as well as in daylight, so I'm hoping I can get some photos if I come home before it gets dark. The good thing is that there's heat inside.

I'm going to spend the rest of my day eating instant noodles with seafood, drinking hot cocoa[see first photo] and procrastinating? How have you guys been?

Wearing Ray Bans, H&M cardigan, homemade dress, vintage belt, and F21 tights.

is exactly how I feel when I wear these sunglasses. They just arrived in the mail today and I'm excited to wear them even when it's cloudy. I love the excitement of receiving packages; it's like an early Christmas. Afterall, we have to endulge for ourselves don't we?

I'm dying for brown lace up boots but haven't found the perfect pair. Any website reccommendations to satisfy my hungry online shopping mood?

Tornado

Photobucket

Wearing Tahari sweater, gray F21 top, scarf from Macys, Iris Jeans via F21, aldo bag, converse.

The weather has been really strange these days. It's warm and then all of a sudden we have tornado warnings... in Massachuetts. Weird? Oh yeah. The winds have been blowing at about.. 50mph, okay, maybe like 20. Anyways, moving away from the weather topic, I went downtown today to do my photo project. I was pretty much sitting on the ground and taking strange angles. At one point I was inside an empty fountain at Boston Common. That part was fun.

So, super comfy outfit for today.. I didn't think heels were a good idea for getting inside the fountain. I was surprised at how I didn't even buy anything after looking around for a couple hours. I was close to buying these boots, but I was thinking I could save for the Nine West ones instead. Being on a strict budget sucks big time. Oh, and I got bangs! I don't know why but I think they look strange on me.. So I guess I'll fix them a bit and wait for them to grow out again, then chop up some of my hair.

I've noticed that I've pretty much abandoned my converse.. and also jeans. All I've been wearing are skirts and such. Well, might as well enjoy it before the snow comes. I heard it was suppose to snow next week? I find that crazy, since it was 65F two days ago. Wow, I'm back to the subject of weather. Haha I'm so lame.

It's Raining, It's Pouring

Photobucket

Wearing Urban Behavior scarf, H&M cardigan, homemade ruffle tank, vintage belt, am.rag skirt, via spiga tights, and inc. boots.

Sorry for the terrible quality photo. The lighting was bad, since it began raining randomly in the middle of day. I forgot to bring an umbrella, so I got soaked in my peacoat. Anyways, I wore a pretty simple outfit today. When in doubt, wear tights.

The rain always makes me feel extremely lazy and unreluctant to do anything. Homework? Nahh, I'm gonna take a nap instead. I just noticed that I'm listening to a Christmas song on my iTunes. Haha. One thing that drives me a bit nuts is how the lunch-serving man at my school blasts cheery Christmas songs. It's not even Thanksgiving yet!

Sigh. At least it's Friday tomorrow. Cheers.

and to end this disasterous day are pictures of boots:

All Zippered Up

Sorry about the total lack of outfit posts. It's mostly because of the daylight savings time. It looks like its 8pm at 5pm here! I promise to update tomorrow.

Today I spent most of my time eating at Friendly's with a bunch of friends, fattening ourselves with chicken and ice cream sundaes in 45F weather. hehe.

Anyways, I found these gorgeous heels at Forever21 the other day. I fell in love with the zipper straps. The thing is it's pretty tall, and doesn't have much support. What do you think? Save for some brown boots or oxfords or just do an impulse purchase on these lovely shoes?

De-linting and Shopping

Whoops. I guess my shopping diet didn't go so well afterwell, since I just bought a beautiful vintage-inspired lace dress that was prone to drive me nuts if I didn't buy it[phew, long sentence!]. I found this dress at Forever21 and I fell in love with it. It's inside layer is actually not pink, but more of a nude color. I'll debut it soon!

Other than my F21 adventure, not much happened except a drive to Best Buy and Walmart with my dad. I can't help it but buy random things like Febreeze or a lint roller at Walmart. They make it all seem so tempting. Then, I practically spent the rest of my day de-linting my wool coat and eating Cantonese food. I love Tuesdays off.

Problem: No Dark Brown in 9.5.
After looking at the black one in store, it didn't seem too tempting for me. I already had two pairs of black boots, and my heart belongs to the first one. The second one's color is just a bit too raw for me, and the last is kind of like an army green. Kind of like..a turtle? What do you think?

Mercurial

I have been searching through TeenVogue.com and through the snapshot blog for a while, and I was a bit confused when people started to comment my blog and say congrats. [Thanks to all that did! It means a lot to me] I finally went on the blog and found out I was on it!
I actually submitted this awhile ago, and I have no idea why I picked this outfit and used those answers, but hey what can I do right? If I asked the same, my answers would completely be different. Oh, my everlasting changing mind. I have to say that my style has evolved pretty quickly since the beginning of my blogging, and it's mostly from you fellow bloggers! I love the inspiration you guys give me. My style is a bit more "sturdy", haha yes, terrible adjective, but it's the only one I can come up with right now. Wait--determined. Yes, much better word. Then I was experimenting, but now I've found my niche, but still exploring the possibilites in that area and around it.
happy monday!

Wearing Urban Outfitters Fringe scarf, F21 tank and skirt, H&M cardigan, Walmart tights, Payless boots, and Chinese Laundry clutch.

A couple weeks ago, I was suppose to be helping my mom out at the restaurant that our families own. I was really tired that day[it was raining], so I decided to take a nap in the car. After, I got a bit bored, and I slipped away to the Atrium Mall, which is practically across the street. Luckily for me, the Second Time Around just opened and I found this great clutch for a great price too. The only bad part was that it was completely silent in the store. Don't you find it so awkward when that happens? I haven't found the perfect time to use it until today. Plus, it's so big of a clutch that I won't lose it! [fun fact: I have terrible memory.]
I'm excited to get my Ray-Bans but it confuses me because I saw too models that look very similar. I went to Solstice and Sunglass Hut, but my heart belongs to ebay, because it saves my wallet. Well, my mom's wallet. Haha.

And lastly, another wishing for:

boots by nine west.

Wearing F21 tights , vintage top, Charter Club scarf, F21 skirt and H&M bag.

I thought it would be fun to play with different textures and prints, so what the hey.

Nothing wicked interesting has been going on for a while. Just me and my boring life. The only thing I'm excited about is my dress in progress because I have never made anything before! I was pretty clueless before but I'm starting to get the hang of it. I'll debut it as soon as I finish it!

I was at H&M and I wanted this handbag for a while because of color. I love the color so much. The photo makes the handbag lighter than it seems. But I still like it. I was actually suppose to on a shopping diet because my mom proposed me my Ray-Bans if I don't ask her for any money. So I used my money instead. Haha, not as fun, but still satisfying.

And we'll end the day with some inspirations:

Beyond the Barrier

Photobucket

I was pretty ecstatic today because I had no school today because of election day! I'm eager to hear about the results of the election. I wish I could vote. Although it is too late to vote now, well most likely, I'm happy for those who voiced their choice. (well not really voiced, but it rhymes!)

I was sitting at my desk since 10am doing a science fair research paper. I swore my eyes were going to pop out of my head if I had research soil and antifreeze anymore. All I did was write two essays and eat an entire plate of cookies. Sounds like a productive day to me!

I've seen questions on other blogs where they question why they, as bloggers, well, blog. Is it for themselves? Or other viewers? For me, I know that I blog for myself. It's not really about getting a million viewers, I don't expect that. A couple people viewing my blog and leaving an opinion about what I was wearing or what I have to say is nice. I love that. Heck, I get no comments and I just keep blogging. I just like to express myself and hopefully inspire others.

Wearing F21 aviators, Prides Landing(on label) sweater, H&M gloves, F21 tights, Payless boots, vintage belt, and Charter Club scarf.

Yes, yes I know, again with the chunky sweater. It's just so comfy! I thought it would keep me incredibly warm today, but alas, my school is wicked cold. I find the second picture kind of funny because the aviators were pretty much falling off my face. haha.

So, it is election day tomorrow, so I figured that it would be appropriate to switch topics for a second. I hope that no one would get affended, but I am just stating my opinion. I actually find politics pretty interesting. Hey, it's important what the government does, because we are all affected by their changes. But, if I could vote, I would be on Obama's side. I am more fond of his policies and what he wants to do for our country. Best of luck to both of the candidates! What's your opinion on tomorrow's election day?

Wearing H&M coat, CharterClub scarf, Calvin Klein sweater, vintage belt, and Payless boots.

My apologies for completely neglecting my blog! I've been way busy with the usuals. At least the first term is almost over.
Anyways, autumn's pretty much at its peak here, and it's 34F right now. Freezinggg. I have a very low tolerance for the cold. I'm always cold. I just hate being cold. My school is always strangely UNHEATED and I can never concentrate on classwork. The heat problem always seizes to amaze me because we have about four new SHINY Mac computers in the photo room and no heat. HM interesting.
I found this Calvin Klein sweater in my dad's closet and decided to take it out for a spin. The tags were still on it. I bet it had been sitting in that closet for at least five years, since I've never seen my dad wear it. Oh well, it's mine now. Hehe.
I was debating on whether or not to stud these boots or not. The material will be pretty hard to stud, for me at least. But I've always wanted studded boots..
