Cinched

wearing: scarf, urban outfitters; cardigan: tjmaxx; skirt: american rag at macy's; tank: wet seal; belt: secondhand; bag: h&m; mag: teen vogue

Hm not much to say today, except for that I got four mosquito bites while taking these pictures. I was out for about 20 minutes, and I was wearing tights. SOMEHOW, I got 4 mosquito bites on my legs. It's probably a sign. I found this month's teen vogue was a bit lacking.. I didn't see much that inspired me. I need to get some new ideas for my sketches. Something new and fresh. Too bad other designers have already thought of it.

Lazy Sunday

wayfarers: garment district; jeans: F21; shoes: payless; striped tank: f21; cardigan: mom's; belt: secondhand; handbag: rosetti, secondhand; candy: sour patch
It was pretty gloomy outside, wet and humid. Now it's pretty much pouring. My mom took me to get some lunch at a viet restaurant. Mm, avocado shake. I reccommend it. I just worked on my sketches later and ate my all-time favorite: sour patch kids.

Rain, Rain go away

So today I went to The School of Fashion Design for the "high school fashion prep" fall course. It was a small school on Newbury St, where you can find loads of high-end, middle shops, and lots of yummy food[for a price of course]. We did some sketching and sewing, which I sucked at. Everyone was sewing away and I was stuck with an empty bobbin. Bad decision again: I was wearing my boots earlier, but I was absolutely dying. Plus, it has been raining all weekend. My converse were my life savers.
Also, sorry for the bad quality photos. I wasn't able to take them doing the daytime. Although I think the flash one is pretty cool because it reminded me of Marc Jacobs's advertisements. I felt a need to wear my wayfarers at night. I found this lightweight cardigan in my mom's closet, from the 80's. I thought the pattern was kind of funky and frightening and felt the need to wear it for some reason. I'm not really sure what the pattern really is, probably like leaves.. and vines? Hm.

Bombarded

Hey guys, super sorry about the lack of updates. School has really been killing me. My eyes were puffed up today after waking up late and the day before I had a thesis paper that was 4 pages long. Although tomorrow I'm going to the Fashion Design program! I'm going to improve on my sketches and also learn how to sew. I've been wanting to know how to do some DIYs.
Afterschool I headed over to the mall. Of course, I headed straight to my love, Forever 21. Words can not describe how much I adore this store. I got this shirt, which I will get a picture of soon. Also, I went to H&M. Whoever designs the clothes are kind of geniuses. I got this lightweight grey beret there with this flower on it. I have some kind of attraction to things with flowers on them, although not baby florals. I actually managed to clean up my "get ready" station, hence the cleanness.
I found this blazer in the downstairs closet.. very abandoned. It was my mom's from the 80's or 90's. I thought it was quite amusing to rip off the shoulder pads. I'm probably going to rock it tomorrow on Newbury St. I'll be sure to do a daily outfit tomorrow.

Totally Broke and Fabulous.

jacket: F21; boots[first pic]: steve madden, [other] payless; skirt: am. rag; scarf: urban outfitters; bag: aldo accessories; long sleeve: aeo
Today I went out to Downtown Boston, yet again in the morning/afternoon. I had to go get my contacts, and then I looked around. Sadly, I was broke. The only thing I got was an iced coffee from Dunkies. Then I had..50 cents. Hooray.
I just received my boots in the mail yesterday, and I wore them right away. Bad idea. I had to walk around a hell of a lot in downtown and they were killing me! I also stopped at the H&M, which you can see above. It's hugee! And so much better than the one at the malls. The first picture is the shoe I kinda of wanted at Marshalls by Tahari. Except that there were 50 buckaroos.
Also, I was in the need of a crossbody bag, so i borrowed my Mom's. I love how it looks when its folded over like a clutch. The thin strap is so ladylike. I covet whoever thought of this genius idea.

Words can not Describe.

all from forever21!

Today I went out Downtown with my friend Heidi! There's this huge H&M there and also a huge TJmaxx and Marshalls. And then there's Aldo, Wetseal, DSW shoes, and Payless. Oh, and there's an Urban Outfitters down at Fanueil Hall. I love the atmosphere around Boston, it's so relaxed. I don't know, but you have to be there to know! As I was saying, the H&M is amazing. It's gigantic. I need to take a picture for you guys soon. I saw some crossbody bags that I wanted, but of course, I'm a bit behind on the money part. I also got a cream colored fringe scarf at Urban Outfitters. The highlight of my day though was when me and Heidi went down to Marshalls. You see, I never really get super excited about the stuff there, but once I spotted a pair of Tahari platforms, I wanted them.

Feeling the breeze.

I have to say that I just can't get enough of chictopia! such great outfits. I'm feeling very inspired. I also adore that zipper skirt. I wish I could do a DIY. Anyhow, I'm heading downtown tomorrow and I'm hoping to find a nice bag or a faux leather jacket. I've been wanting one for a while! Still waiting for my boots to come in the mail.. ahh when will it be here? =[ By the way, I'm sorry I wasn't able to post any daily outfits, school is killing me.

Oh the joy

I found these fashionable labies on chictopia.com and wanted to share them with you. I don't own any of these pictures and just wanted to show what I liked. What I noticed is that I picked the ones with scarves, my ultimate guilty pleasure. I like the layered looks, and simple silhoueettes. I like using white, black, and gray as foundation colors, and adding a simple pop that spices up the outfit.
Also, I was watching Project Runway, and I liked one of those outfits featured, the brown ruffle top with the skirt. I wish I was able to make my own clothing! In a week I will be attending a class at the Boston School Of Fashion Design on Newbury St. I've so excited! I love Newbury St because the people there are always so nicely dressed, and plus you can find designers like Dior, Burberry, Betsy Johnson...

Opaque

I love the look with the black tights and short shorts! I really want to get a pair of gray tweed ones. I was upset because the tights were way more opaque than I thought, making the shorts..invisible. lol. I've been waiting for my package to come. I ordered a pair of boots online and still they are not here =[ Also, I got these oxford inspirated shoes, see below. It's the one from payless. I love how they make shoes inspired by current fashion trends with such a great price. Although I would wish for Christian Louboutin, Payless lets the wallet breathe.

Flash!

blazer: jolt, macy's; long sleeve: ae; handband: f21, gray jeans: f21; shoes: payless

Hey everyonee. Today I shot my outfit a bit later, so the flash came on. Yuck. I really don't like using the flash.! Also, I want to show you guys the 2SMRT4U ring that I got a while back. I was going to link it to tell you guys you can get one for FREE! But unfortunately, I just went onto the site and it said there were no more. But if you still wanted to check it out, it's http://2SMRT4U.com. I think it's very important nowadays to make sure you're safe in the comfort of your own home. There are a lot of creepy people out there. [and awesome ones of course.] Well, it's back to homework for me. I'll put in more inspirations probably later in the week. I also just got an issue of ELLE with J.Lo on it. Too bad I didn't even read much of it yet.

Seasons Collide

sweater: vintage; socks: f21; skirt: american rag; purple shirt: F21, necklace: local festival
So, I just found these cool toe-less knee socks at F21 a couple days ago for $1.99. =] I thought that part was pretty amazing. Anyways just wanted to check in. I have LOADS of homework.. like 4 pg essays about books. Anyways, I noticed that I am in a desperate need of new flats. The ones I am wearing are dying, and extremely worn out. I got them last year and they still function, but not for long. It's really hard to find good flats that fit comfortably since I'm an 9.5. Darn my biggish feet.

Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.

top: mom's from the 80's ; belt: vintage; jeans: refuge; shoes: payless by ae
bag: franco sarto, vintage; pendant: local festival

tanks: forever 21; jeans: refuge; bag: vintage; vest: wetseal; necklace:see below

dress: F21; leggings: F21; shoes: payless; scarf: icing's; bag: aldo; headband: charlotte russe

So, today was really nice out, so I decided to flaunt my summer dress =] Too bad this weather isn't going to last. I like 65F-70F, it's my kinda weather. Not too hot, not too cool.
The title has to do with the abandoned earring I found in my mom's jewelry box, left alone without its companion. It was from the late 80's. [second picture] I decided to take out one of my gold necklace strands and make it into a necklace! There are many ways to reuse and create new things than simply throwing them in the trash.
I'm currently doing my science lab report, very fun right? We're suppose to measure our pulses and do jumping jacks.. Anyways, I also have a photo project due next week, so I'm trying to think of more ideas to do a self portrait without having MYSELF actually in it.

Happy Saturday!
